| Strides crashes while being run.A crash usually means that there is a run time error. I will need to know what you were trying to do just prior to it crashing. Send an email to edward@ebullock.co.nz. It will also help if you can send me the details from the Java console, just copy and paste to a text file (use Notepad on Windows) and attach it to this email.
If the console is not being opened while you are running Strides you will firstly need to close the program and follow this process: - Click Start
- Select Control Panel
- Click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel. Please ensure that you are in the page that displays all Control Panel Items. This may vary, depending on which Windows Operating System you are using.
If there is no Java Icon present you will have no JRE installed in your computer, you will need to visit http://www..java.com to download the latest version of Java.
- On the the Java Control Panel, click on the Advanced tab.
- You will then be face with a tree list. Expand the tree node Java Console.
- Once the Java Console is expanded, you should have three options, Show console, Hide console and Do not start console.
Select Show console, and then close the Java Control Panel.
- Open strides again and do exactly the same as you what you did before to cause it to crash. When it does crash, copy all the contents of the Java console and paste in a text file (Notepad) or the body of the email. Please also include details about what you did leading to the crash and the Operating System you are using (Windows 7 or Apple Mac) and its version.
