Trouble Shooting

Strides not running at all or failing to perform basic opera

You may not have the latest JRE (Java Runtime Environment) installed. Although I set the minimum standard to be Java 1.6, it is advisable that you have the latest JRE installed. There are two options to ensure that you have the latest JRE installed into your computer.
You can simply visit

1. Click Start
   
   
2. Select Control Panel
   
   
3. Click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel. Please ensure that you are in the page that displays all Control Panel Items. This may vary, depending on which Windows Operating System you are using.
   If there is no Java Icon present you will have no JRE installed in your computer, you will need to visit http://www..java.com to download the latest version of Java.
   
   
4. On the the Java Control Panel, click on the General tab if you are not there already and then click the About... button.
   This should open a dialog displaying the JRE version. If it is less than Java 1.6, you will need to visit http://www..java.com to download the latest version of Java.
   
   
5. Close the Java Control Panel and run Strides again.
