Showjumping Courses

A step by step process in creating showjumping courses for a new show

1. Click on New Event Button
   
   
2. This should prompt the Create Course Wizard
   
   
   
3. Select the radio button Show and then click Next
   
   
   
4. Page two select Create New Show and enter the name of the show.
   For this example enter Strides Show
   
   
   
5. Select Select Course Designer and choose the course designer from drop down list.
   Alternatively, select Add New Course Designer and enter the names of the course designer. Click next to open Page 3
   
   
   
6. Page 3, this page gives you a choice of starting with a previously designed template, a new course from an existing arena or a new course from a new arena.
   
   
   
7. To select a existing course select Select Course.
   
   
   
8. To have all the numbers cleared select Clear Numbers or if you wish to only clear the second and third rounds select Clear Jump Offs
   
   
   
9. Page four, this page is where you enter the class details, such as class number, class name, level or jump height, class type like table and article. Also first round speed can be selected. Its default speed is 350mpm. Finally the date of the event. Then click Finish to close the Wizard
   
   
10. Now that the show and class details have been set the Wizard will be closed and this new show will be loaded onto the Strides design pad. The course is now ready to be created.
    
    
11. Click on the button with the fence you wish to use.
    
    
12. The fence will now be highlighted to a flouro-green colour. This means that that it can now be edited.
    
    
13. Use the turn buttons to turn it clockwise anti-clockwise or change direction until you get the jump into the desired direction.
    
    
14. Click anywhere on the course but on the fence to un-highlight it.
